Images of a young girl throwing a tantrum Walmartthrowing dozens of products off the shelves while adults disagree over whether to physically restrain her, has gone viral on social media, garnering 27 million views and sparking anger.

In the video, captioned “POV: Trying to shop at Walmart,” the girl is seen sweeping products off the floor, stomping, breaking bottles and kicking displays.

When one customer tries to intervene, another becomes angry, saying, “Don’t yell at him. You don’t know what she went through.

The two-minute video was posted to social media by a buyer and was quickly shared by other accounts, racking up a massive total view count.

News week contacted Walmart for comment after-hours Tuesday via the online press request form.

An account that shared the full clip on X, formerly Twitterwas the account “I Meme Because I Am”, which added the comment: “Some people shouldn’t have kids!”

The account shares content favorable to the president-elect Donald Trump and hostile to management Democrats. The clip received over 3,900 shares and 4.1 million views on X.

In the footage, a young girl dressed in pink walks down the cold aisle of a supermarket, tossing out produce as customers look on in confusion. The video then shows the girl being grabbed to the ground by two women, while a customer with a shopping cart says, “I know you’re just trying to hold her down, but I’m not touching anyone’s child.”

The girl frees herself or is released (it is not clear from the camera angle) and continues throw products on the groundtrampling some while customers argue over what to do.

At one point, a customer shouts “Young lady! ”, to which another responds: “Don’t yell at him. You don’t know what she went through.”

The girl then continues down the aisle throwing other objects, including glass bottles of grape juice, one of which breaks. A male customer tries to intervene, at which point a woman in black tells him: “Don’t do that to a little girl, you don’t know what she’s been through.”

The video ends with a photograph of a man carrying the girl on his shoulder. It is unclear whether he was her parent or guardian.

One of those who shared the clip was Ian Miles Cheong, a conservative-leaning commentator based in Malaysia, who added: “Watch this kid destroy a Walmart and a white woman intervene to stop staff and other customers from hold her back while she wreaks havoc. havoc.” Cheong’s post has been viewed 8.2 million times.

Paul Szypula, a Trump supporter from New York, also shared the full video, commenting: “Kid destroys Walmart, woman yells at adults who try to stop child. Today’s liberalism in a word.” Her post received over 67,000 views and 2,200 likes.

An abbreviated 36-second clip showing the girl smashing bottles as customers argued over what to do was posted to X by the account “Concerned Citizen”, which has 729,000 followers. It has received over 15.8 million views and 13,000 shares.

In November, Walmart was praised by several figures in Trump’s MAGA movement after announcing he was removing his employer. diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programs. A host of other major retailers have has distanced itself from various DEI initiatives over the last few months.
