Ms Brella’s family said she and Mr Lamba entered into an arranged marriage, with the legal marriage taking place in August 2023.

The couple had their traditional Indian ceremony on March 22 this year, before leaving for the UK around April 30 and settling in Corby.

Officers from Northamptonshire Police attended Ms Brella’s home, in Skegness Walk, Corby, on November 13 following concerns about her welfare.

As it could not be found, an investigation into the disappearance was opened.

Ms Brella’s body was discovered in the boot of a car on Brisbane Road, Ilford.
