Knocked Loose Reply After Hate Over Kimmel Performance

ICYMI Coward recently appeared on an American television talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live! to perform their hardcore belter ‘Suffocate’ live, with collaborator Poppy. And apparently, that scared a lot of viewers.

Countless Kimmel fans, who are historically uninitiated to hardcore music, did not react very well to the garish, pyrotechnic performance filmed in front of an outdoor mosh pit, some even “demand an apology” of the show for exposing their ears to such a demonic spectacle.

“It wasn’t singing, anyone can shout lyrics and get paid,” one viewer mocked on social media, while another was angry: “It’s not nice. And we don’t understand more than 5% of the lyrics. Moshing is not the same as dancing.

However, the heavy music community has celebrated the watershed moment of heavy music being broadcast on American late-night network television, and Knocked Loose frontman Bryan Garris has his back.

“You may have seen it before, but you may not,” he posted on social media. “I’ve been lucky that my timeline is so flooded with support that I see it every time I open my phone. But I wanted the chance to talk about it myself.

He continued: “The other day Knocked Loose played on @jimmykimmellive. It’s been our goal for a long time to see how far we can fit this band into places we don’t fit and I think that’s maybe the biggest. National television. It’s like the ceiling is rising for EVERYONE, every day. Thank you very much.

Garris then reflected even more deeply on this landmark moment.

“Walking down the hallway as we were escorted to the stage, I look left and right and see pictures of all the celebrities who have been on the show over the years,” he said. writing. “Presidents, actors, musicians, etc. I leaned over to @caasihale and said ‘it started in your garage’. He grabbed me and squeezed me as hard as he could. It’s a moment I will never forget.

Finally, he briefly turned his attention to the haters.

“PS if it scared you, great,” he concluded.
