Overnight lows will fall into the upper 20s

MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) –

On Tuesday, there will be plenty of sunshine, but it will be rather cold. Temperatures this afternoon will be in the 50s to low 40s, but with a light breeze of around 5 to 10 mph it will be colder than that. Once the sun sets this evening, temperatures will drop quickly and by 9 p.m. we will be at freezing point. Overnight lows for tonight will fall back into the upper 20s, so a light freeze/frost is possible for Wednesday morning.

MULTIPLE ROUNDS OF SHOWERS

As we approach Wednesday we will start to warm up, winds will change from north to south, before rain returns later in the afternoon. Showers will continue overnight Wednesday into Thursday morning before clearing out just before noon. These showers will bring heavier precipitation at times, and precipitation estimates of up to 1 inch are possible.

Temperatures will begin to drop again Thursday evening through Friday, with overnight lows falling back into the upper 20s. Highs on Friday will be in the 50s, but Friday will be sunny. Temperatures will begin to rise Saturday and Sunday, before another round of showers beginning Sunday and continuing into Monday. Stay tuned to your First Alert Weather Team for updates as severe storms may be possible.
