Britannia appoints Martin Ryan, formerly of TP ICAP, as chief operating officer

Britannia Global Markets has announced the appointment of industry veteran Martin Ryan as Chief Operating Officer (COO).

The FCA-regulated financial services firm, which specializes in brokering derivatives including foreign exchange, energy, agriculture, base metals and financial products, is looking to capitalize on its recent growth.

Martin joins Britannia after TP CAP and LSEG

With thirty years of experience in financial services and a strong background in trading technology and operations, Martin Ryan joins Britannia from TP ICAP, where he was Chief Operating Officer.

Prior to joining TP ICAP, Martin Ryan was CEO of London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) Business Services and CIO and board member of its subsidiary, LCH Clearnet.

The industry veteran also held roles at Morgan Stanley and JP Morgan, where he began his career in the markets sales and trading industry.

Britannia also announced the appointment of Jodie Kelsall as Chief of Staff, enabling her to connect the front and back office with the delivery of Britannia’s business strategy, focusing on key projects and transparency both internally and externally.

“Jodie’s progression to the newly created role of Chief of Staff will allow her to use her talents to implement new strategic initiatives for Britannia Global Markets,” said Managing Director Steve Pettitt.
