Del Monte uses TikTok to develop its e-commerce

DEL Monte has harnessed the power of shopping to amplify its digital presence through TikTok Shop, further engaging tens of thousands of viewers with fresh offerings like dairy and snacks.

With a focus on appealing to a younger audience, Del Monte introduced short, relevant videos filled with useful information, strengthening their online presence and making their products more accessible and appealing.

“As we have hosted more live events with the support of TikTok Shop, it has been a wonderful journey for Del Monte,” said Leandro Oviedo, Del Monte’s Director of E-Commerce. “Also with TikTok Shop, we have found new ways to excite our consumers, especially with the engaging and informative content we publish.

Del Monte’s strategic approach during the 11.11 mega campaign delivered impressive results, highlighting the powerful impact of TikTok Shop. Compared to the 10.10 campaign, the brand achieved a remarkable 148 percent increase in total gross merchandise value (GMV), with affiliate GMV increasing by 76 percent. Affiliate live sessions grew by 212% and affiliate video content increased by 44%. These achievements highlight how Del Monte has effectively used TikTok Shop tools to drive significant growth through digital engagement.

A key aspect of this approach was Del Monte’s innovative live streaming sessions, which transformed traditional retail experiences into real-time interactions with consumers, leading to a significant increase in engagement and sales.

Additionally, Del Monte’s use of TikTok Shop affiliate marketing improved brand visibility as collaborations with creators through contests and creator requests fostered meaningful connections and expanded their reach digital.
