Biden stooped far beyond his declaration that ‘no one is above the law’

Many political observers felt unsettled when President Biden announced he was granting what amounts to a blanket pardon for his troubled son, Hunter, after repeatedly telling the American people he would do no such thing . But perhaps even more troubling than the president’s outright lies was that he publicly attacked and undermined the credibility and integrity of the Justice Department, claiming that the prosecution of Hunter was unfair, malicious and politically motivated. Ironically, this is precisely the behavior for which Biden, his fellow Democrats, and their handmaidens in the liberal media have routinely slandered and condemned Donald Trump, calling such attacks by Trump reckless, irresponsible, corrosive, and dangerous.

Biden likes to say that “no one is above the law” and that, as a matter of principle, he is a president who respects and respects our justice and legal systems. Yet his pardon constitutes an open parody of this position. Witnessing this latest display of hypocrisy from the president, I am reminded of an apt quote from the famous Pastor John M. Burgess, who said: “Many people are liberal in principle, but reluctant in practice. » It would seem that what Burgess said all those years ago is as true today as it was then.

Four years ago, Biden loudly told the American people that, if elected, he would protect and preserve our cherished democratic norms and institutions. He promised he would arrive on a good note. Four years later, its budget is decidedly low.

It is a shameful legacy that no president should aspire to.

Good for him for protecting his son against Trump

I disagree with the premise that President Biden’s pardon of his son Hunter constitutes a “disagreement” with the Justice Department. What I think this makes clear is that Biden doesn’t trust the new administration to act within the rule of law and is just trying to protect his son.

I can only wish that he would do that for all of us.

Biden dealt blow after blow to his party

When will Joe Biden’s reign of terror against the Democratic Party end?

First, after suggesting during the 2020 presidential campaign that he would only serve one term, he announced his candidacy for re-election at age 80. Ridiculous and selfish!

Then, pushed to bow out after his disastrous performance in the debate against Donald Trump, his ego pushed him to try to nominate his successor, by supporting Kamala Harris. We Democrats rallied behind her, but she was a deeply flawed candidate to begin with, on top of that as vice president to a deeply unpopular commander in chief. Destined to lose!

Now, for reasons that seem purely selfish, Biden pardoned his son Hunter. Whether the investigation into Hunter Biden was politically motivated, he is an unsympathetic character. He broke laws and used his political connections to make money and get ahead.

The president has undermined Democrats’ message that we respect the rule of law. What will he do next?

Please make it go away.

Enough with “father’s love” already

This whole approach to “fatherly love” is offensive. The pardon powers were not created to express a father’s love, nor granted to President Biden for that purpose. He can express his paternal love by the means available to all fathers. Any effort on his part to build relationships with other fathers while using tools none of them have fails.
