Leeds United fans ‘forgive’ their row

Max Wober was praised by Leeds United supporters after scoring his first goal for the club against Derby County.

The central defender didn’t endear himself to Elland Road fans last seasonwhen he left on loan following Los Blancos’ relegation from the Premier League.

He is, however, back in the Championship for Daniel Farke’s side in the current campaign as they once again seek promotion to the top flight.

Wober then took the next step in his Leeds career against Derby, with a moment that was certainly well received by the club’s fans, who were delighted to have started rewarding them for previous numbers.

Max Wober leaves Leeds fans delighted with his performance against Derby

As White looks to bounce back the disappointment of defeat against Blackburn last weekendWober initially started this clash with the Rams at Elland Road on the bench.

However, the centre-back was introduced early, replacing the injured Junior Firpo at left-back after just 21 minutes.

The hosts then took the lead moments later when Joe Rodon headed in from a corner, before Wober got on the scoresheet himself just before half-time.

As well as doing his job defensively, the Austrian also made an impact in attack, making an excellent run to meet a Brenden Aaronson cross at the far post and score to make it 2-0 to Leeds.

Despite the frustrations of the previous season, many of the club’s supporters were still keen to pay tribute to Wober and took to social media to react to his performance, calling for him to now start under Farke’s management.

In other news, Leeds tipped to sign Brentford player in January transfer window.
