Orlando Weather: Sunny and Cool Conditions for the Weekend

TODAY: Abundant and fresh sun. Highs in the mid to upper 60s. Wind: NNE 5-15.

THIS EVENING: Starry and crispy. Lows will be in the mid to upper 40s around the metro, with our northwest locations falling into the mid to upper 30s. Wind: N 5.

WEATHER BREAKDOWN: High pressure builds up behind Friday’s cold front, making way for plenty of sunshine today. This anticyclone channels cooler, drier air that will continue into our Sunday. Readings appear to be falling below normal again with frozen watches in play in our northwest.

Temperatures will then slowly moderate as this high pressure system moves east and our wind blows from the south. This will make the highs warmer by the end of the weekend. Expect temperatures in the mid 70s on Sunday with plenty of sunshine. Highs then reach the 80s Monday and Tuesday, ahead of our next cold front. A stray shower is possible Tuesday, but higher chances will develop Wednesday with the arrival of the cold front. It passes through, bringing the possibility of showers and a few thunderstorms. We will have enough instability in the air that storms will be on the table. Behind this front. the temperature roller coaster continues. Afternoon readings return to the upper 50s and lower 60s Thursday, with sunny conditions.
