Indiana Jones and the Great Kreis has made the first big update.

December 9 is the official release date for Indiana Jones and the Great Kreis and soon from Bethesda and publisher MachineGames the first patch for the action-adventure. When you start the game, you should automatically install the update.

The biggest news is a graphics feature, that of the early access version (from December 6) which is now available and the options include additional Hardware options.

Analysis of Path-Tracing and major new features

Laut Bethesda brings the update for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle “Full Ray Tracing”, which is for all Path-Tracing.

Path-Tracing support brings the first big update for all bug fixes, but also various gameplay issues and various action-adventure missions. A full compilation of English patch notes found in the spoiler:

NEW FEATURES

  • Added Full Ray Tracing (Path Tracing) functionality to supported NVIDIA video cards. A minimum of 12 GB of VRAM is required to use this feature. Please note that we are also working on supporting AMD FSR in a future game update.

GENERAL

  • Fixed a rare crash that could occur when saving the game.
  • Fixed an issue where you could temporarily lose rights to pre-order/deluxe outfits.
  • Fix to ensure your photographs appear faster when inspecting them from the log.

GAME PLAY

  • Fixed a broken animation that could occur if you equipped the rebreather immediately after jumping into water.
  • Fixed a situation where you may temporarily be unable to interact with objects if you try to poke an enemy with your revolver while your stamina is depleted.
  • Fixed an issue that could prevent you from blocking punches while looking at a nearby picked-up item.
  • Fixed the issue where you may not be able to change disguises after leaving Sukhothai Village via a fast travel panel.
  • Fixed several places where the whip could come off unexpectedly when swinging.
  • Fixed an issue where Indy’s legs could snap into place unexpectedly when crossing the bridge gap in Nepal.
  • Fixed to prevent enemies from ignoring Indy when reloading a checkpoint located very close to soldiers guarding the entrance to a restricted location.
  • Fixed an issue that could prevent Gina from appearing near your docked boat as expected.
  • Fixed unexpected camera shake when dying to scorpions near the end of the Giza level.
  • Fixed an issue where the first shot made with a temporary weapon would be silent.
  • Fixed an issue where enemies could have a delayed response after you stole valuable items from them.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause you to appear in a broken animation state if you restarted a checkpoint after using a zipline while saving the game.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause you to be unable to use your whip if you performed a whip while saving the game and then reloaded that save.
  • Fixed an issue where you could get stuck in the “Lucky Hat” recovery state.

User interface

  • Added “Reset to Defaults” selection to the Options menu.
  • Fixed a situation where quickly cycling the Quick Equip menu could cause the wrong item to be displayed in the menu.
  • Added an explanation of the blue suitcase revisit icon on maps in the game manual.
  • Prevent map location titles from overlapping with photo opportunity names.
  • Fixed intermittent text flickering during credits.
  • Make sure the player’s adventure book list is updated immediately after unlocking a new book.

CHART

  • Fixed bottles appearing too blurry when moving with a bottle equipped.
  • Fixed an issue where Indy’s right arm could appear pinched above the wrist when wearing a bare-arm suit.
  • Fixed occasional stuttering that could be observed in cutscenes.
  • Fixed so that Indy’s whip behaves more naturally when attached to his belt.

  • Fixed an issue where Gina could not enter a co-op vault or climb when she had recently fought.
  • Fixed an issue where the Vatican Fountain puzzle pieces could continue to move slowly, which could prevent completion if left for a very long time.
  • Fixed an issue that could prevent the quest objective “Finish Forging the Golden Key” from being completed in your journal in the Vatican.
  • Fixed an issue where dying shortly after opening the Sukhothai HQ safe could prevent the player from collecting all the gold.

PC SPECIFIC FIXES

  • Improved performance at higher gaming levels if using an 8GB VRAM video card.
  • Fix an issue where Alt-Tabbing could prevent you from being able to open your inventory.
  • Fix to ensure that the “Revert” option works correctly when you change video modes.
  • Fixed torch or lighter flames flickering when playing the game at a high refresh rate.
  • Fixed sandflow and torch flame effects not displaying correctly in Peru level on AMD video cards.
  • Fixed issue where enabling HDR and DLSS at the same time could result in a moiré effect on plain white walls.
  • Fixed an issue where black artifacts could appear in Indy’s eyes during cutscenes inside the cave in Peru.
  • Fixed issue where black squares may appear intermittently on screen if Render Scaling is used at certain resolutions on AMD video cards.
  • Fix to ensure that your photos can be exported correctly from Steam cloud saves if you decide to upgrade to Xbox cloud saves.
  • Please note that support for AMD FSR will be added in a future game update.

KNOWN PROBLEMS

Return to DLSS and exit the menu. Performance should return to normal shortly after

We are aware that some players may experience reduced performance if they launch the game with DLSS enabled and we are investigating the matter. Players experiencing this issue can try:

  • Go to the Options menu after loading the game
  • Select graphics options
  • Moving from DLSS to TAA
  • Return to DLSS and exit the menu. Performance should return to normal shortly after

What: Bethesda

In Indiana Jones and the Great Kreis, Bermudian archaeologists began in 1937 at the birth of the names of the Great Kreis, and the National Socialists under Emmerich had a Ural Great World.
