Water has been restored to Lowndes High School after the water main broke Monday morning

VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) – Water has been restored to Lowndes High School.

Monday morning, it was announced that the high school was without water following a water main break.

According to the City of Valdosta, crews repaired a broken 12-inch water main near the railroad tracks near the YMCA at 2424 Gornto Road.

In a Facebook post, the school system expressed gratitude to the City of Valdosta Public Utilities Department for maintaining an open line of communication with the superintendent.
