Isaac Otesa pleads for shoes and clothes to allow him to start his job as a bouncer: “No stress”

His request comes days after he got a job as a bouncer at a club in Nairobi’s Kilimani.

Why Otesa is unable to show up for a new job

The job offer was a blessing for this tall man who did not want to return to the village where he earned his living as a boda boda rider.

Although he got the job, Otesa claims he was unable to start work due to lack of appropriate attire.

“Kazi nimepata lakini sina manguo,” Otesa lamented in an interview, expressing frustration at the obstacles preventing him from assuming his new role.

Otesa lamented that he had tried in vain to seek help from Mumias East MP Peter Salasya and the former Nairobi governor. Mike Sonko.

How Otesa survives in Nairobi without a job

Sonko had promised to investigate allegations of exploitation of Otesa by a former manager who mismanaged his sponsorship deals.

The Bungoma man added that the struggle to be able to afford basic necessities has been overwhelming.

“Kupata nguo, kiatu ni stress! Nilipigia Peter Salasya mara kadhaa hashiki anakata. Mike Sonko hajanifikia, hatujapatana bado,” he said.

When asked how he survives in Nairobi, Otesa revealed that he relies on the kindness of his friends.

“Napata rafiki tunapiga story moja mbili,” he said, describing how informal conversations with friends were a source of comfort in difficult times.

Kenyans, however, accused the Bungoma Goliath of being entitled to foreigners’ money.

How did Otesa get the bouncer job?

Otesa, who was initially stranded, regained his hopes a few days ago when he received help from Nairobi County Geoffrey Mosiria, director of environment.

Mosiria picked him up from the street in his Mercedes Benz and arranged temporary accommodation for him at a guest house in central Nairobi. Business District (CBD).

He then got a job as a bouncer for Otesa at the Ibiza Club in Kilimani, Nairobi, giving him a new chance in life.

Mosiria explained that Otesa would discuss conditions of service with his new employer.
