The last time viewers saw him, he was the one watching over her as blood flowed from her mouth.

Although no official details about season 2 have been released, many questions remain unanswered.

After his wife Nuria (Úrsula Corberó) flees with their son, it is likely that the Jackal seeks to reunite with his family.

Meanwhile, he might have another job on his hands after businesswoman Zina Jansone (Eleanor Matsuura) arranges a meeting with him and mentions an unpaid debt and plans to target his former employer, the financier Timothy Winthrop (Charles Dance).

There is every chance that the next season will follow the assassin balancing his demanding job and family life.

Once Bianca is dead, another officer or intelligence team could be brought in and begin the hunt for the killer.

Showrunner Gareth Neame explained why they “didn’t want to talk about a second season” initially when working on the first.

“There is a limited ending to the novel and the film. So we didn’t really want to give any indication on that. But obviously we’re television producers, so it’s hopefully about multiple seasons and episodic narratives and leveraging the strengths of that,” he said. TomsGuide.

“You never know if we will get the second season or not. I don’t think you want to plan too much so you can respond to what people you know liked about the show and lean on it with all your might,” he added.

Meanwhile, executive producer Nigel Marchant said he would continue to explore whether the Jackal could “have the cake and eat it”, balancing his home life and his work as an assassin.

“At the end of season 1, everything fell apart, so the question of the second one is: can you make this work? Or are they fundamentally opposites? Or certainly, that’s the question that l we ask ourselves at the end of the first season.
