Prince Andrew took a step back as an active royal in 2019 after being embroiled in a scandal regarding his ties to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. He remains a family member, however, and is in the news again today due to his links to a suspected Chinese spy.

The reports today revealed that a man banned from entering the UK for security reasons was a confidant of Prince Andrew. The man, who cannot be publicly identified and is known as H6, was reportedly invited to Prince Andrew’s birthday party in 2020 and told him he could act on the prince’s behalf when he was dealing with investors in China. THE Daily Telegraph today published a photo of the man standing near the Prince, blurring his image.

This information has come to light now because a the judgment has been published on December 12, after H6 requested a review of the 2023 decision to ban it from the UK. His request was rejected, but information in the published judgment revealed interactions between H6 and Prince Andrew’s staff as well as information about his ties to the prince. A document dated August 24, 2021, titled “Key talking points for (the Duke)” said: “He is in dire straits and will hold on to anything.”

This latest information has raised more questions about the prince’s judgment and those he surrounded himself with, both while he was a member of the royal family and after stepping back. He is currently in the spotlight over where he now gets his money from and whether he will be able to continue living in the lavish Royal Lodge on the Windsor Castle estate.
