The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Wipro GE Health Pvt. Ltd., to establish a hub for AI healthcare innovations at the Centre. The new hub will focus on developing products and solutions that improve healthcare delivery and outcomes through more accurate diagnosis, innovative treatment protocols and real-time patient data tracking.

As a technology partner, Wipro GE Healthcare will invest approximately $1 million over the next five years to co-develop, test and deploy intelligent systems and workflow solutions in cardiology, oncology and neurology. As the hub’s clinical partner, AIIMS will provide multi-modal clinical inputs and function as a real-world clinical environment for the assessment, feedback and deployment of GE HealthCare’s AI-based solutions. A joint working committee from the two organizations will oversee the collaboration, which will include clinical research and academic engagement.

Mr. Srinivas, Director, AIIMS, said the partnership with Wipro GE Healthcare has strategic value and is aligned with the national vision of Viksit Bharat through advanced healthcare. We are optimistic that with this collaboration, we will be able to accelerate the development and validation of advanced MedTech and deliver more effective patient care.
