Premier League LIVE SCORES: Fulham LEADER at Liverpool and Newcastle vs Leicester updates – latest

Pope absent for a month

Newcastle No.1 Nick Pope will be out for a month with a knee ligament injury.

The England goalkeeper twisted his knee while stopping a shot during the Toon’s match at Brentford last weekend.

Eddie Howe will likely call on Martin Dubravka or Odeyssas Vlochodimos for this afternoon’s meeting with Leicester.

Jota and Chiesa could return for the Reds

Arne Slot has revealed that Diogo Jota and Federico Chiesa could be included in this afternoon’s squad to face Fulham.

Jota has been sidelined since October with a rib injury, while Chiesa has made just one Premier League appearance since arriving from Juventus for £12.5 million in the summer.

Slot said before the game: “I think they are,” Slot said when asked if the players were ready to be on the team this weekend.

“We have one training session left. Federico missed a lot for a long time, he was ill last week. We have to wait and see how he is.

“But maybe Diogo is in the team and maybe Federico too, but it depends a bit on the numbers and how he recovers from his illness.”
