Atul Subhash suicide case: Bengaluru techie suicide: Atul Subhash’s ex-wife Nikita Singhania and in-laws arrested

The Bengaluru Police made significant progress in the abetment to suicide case of Atul Subhash, a technology professional, by arresting his wife and family members on Sunday. Nikita Singhania, the wife of the late technician, was arrested from Gurgoan, Haryana, while her mother, Nisha Singhania, and brother, Anurag Singhania, were taken into custody in Prayagraj.

According to Shivakumar, deputy commissioner of police (DCP) of White Field division, the three men were produced before the court and later taken into custody. Authorities are now actively investigating the circumstances leading to Subhash’s tragic death. Police revealed that the role of Sushil Singhania, a relative of Nikita, is still under investigation and efforts are being made to locate him. Nikita has been named as accused no.1 in the case, while her mother Nisha is accused no.2 and brother Anurag is accused no.3.

To collect evidence, the police engaged experts from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) and the cybercrime team to examine the death message, video and electronic devices of Subhash Atul.

Anticipatory bail applications filed

Following a police summons issued on Friday demanding that Nikita appear within three days, she, along with her mother, brother and uncle Sushil Singhania, had earlier sought anticipatory bail from the High Court of Allahabad.

Atul Subhash, a 34-year-old software engineer, committed suicide in Bengaluru on Monday, apparently due to harassment from his estranged wife and family members. A case of abetment to suicide has been registered against Nikita and her relatives.
