As the clock winds down to the final episode of “Yellow stone», star of the series Kelly Reilly took to Instagram on Sunday to confirm that the December 15 episode is in fact the main series finale.

“Hello, I am currently immersed in another role regarding another land worth fighting for in the UK,” Reilly wrote. “But on the other side of the Atlantic, the finale of the show will take place tonight. Whatever the future holds, this is the end of the show we’ve been doing for 7 years.

Reilly then thanked the “Yellowstone” creator Taylor Sheridan as well as the entire cast and crew of the western drama.

“Words cannot express how I feel about the people I have worked with and created over the seasons,” Reilly added. “I made real friends for life. The support of the team, the trust and dedication of the actors. The words I must say and the woman I must inhabit. It changed me. It enlightened me. It challenged me in every way possible and I will always be grateful for that. For Taylor Sheridan, who took a chance on me and continued to write him in a way that made me feel on fire as an actor. Thanks Taylor.

Although this means the end of the main series, Reilly will soon star alongside her on-screen husband Cole Hauser in a “Yellowstone” spinoff series following their characters Rip Wheeler and Beth Dutton. Sources confirmed to Variety that the series is close to production.
