As for the ingredients: Ceramides reduces dryness and revokes rough texture. More specifically, they strengthen the skin barrier, the outermost layer responsible for keeping skin hydrated and healthy. (Freezing weather, among other external factors, can damage the barrier, leading to dryness, redness, and flaking.) The moisturizer also contains vitamin F-a moisture-retaining lipid that doubles the formula’s smoothing effects. Ingredients aside, my complexion – currently velvety, calm and flake-free, despite the harsh winds – is a testament to the moisturizer’s effectiveness.
