Sidey to improve social housing in North Lanarkshire

Sidey has been awarded a major contract with North Lanarkshire Council to design, manufacture, supply and install replacement windows, doors and screens in council-owned domestic properties.

This transformative renovation programme, which is expected to be delivered over the next two to four years, aims to improve the energy efficiency, safety and aesthetic appeal of social housing in the area.

With the majority of properties remaining occupied during the works, Sidey will implement its proven turnkey delivery model, ensuring minimal disruption to residents while maintaining exceptional standards of craftsmanship, regulatory compliance and customer service.

“This contract reflects not only our exceptional reputation within the industry, but also our commitment to delivering tangible value to our customers and the communities they serve,” said Steve Hardy, Managing Director of Sidey. “We are honored to contribute to North Lanarkshire Council’s efforts to provide their residents with safer and more energy efficient homes.

The project closely aligns with North Lanarkshire Council’s climate change strategy, using sustainable renovation practices designed to reduce carbon emissions, reduce energy costs and improve resident comfort.

Sidey is also committed to maximizing social value throughout the lifecycle of this large-scale project. The initiative will generate local employment opportunities, support skills development and strengthen North Lanarkshire communities through a range of community benefits schemes.

Building on a legacy of successful partnerships with the municipality and neighboring authorities, this contract highlights Sidey’s unwavering dedication to sustainability and community enrichment.
