New dad Varun Dhawan is learning the responsibilities of a father. Varun welcomed his first child, Lara, with wife Natasha Dalal in June 2024. Since then, the actor has been balancing his professional commitments and duties as a new father. During a recent appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show, the actor spoke about embracing fatherhood.

Varun said, “Earlier I was scolded by one woman, but now I am scolded by two. I’m learning to burp him, to swaddle him. Sometimes when she starts crying, I feel terrified. Sometimes at night, when you’re exhausted and she starts crying, I pretend to get up but Natasha gets up before me and goes to calm her down. No no… but you have to go because you feel anxious. “

Earlier, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Varun Dhawan opened up about the transformative experience of fatherhood, sharing in-depth insights about his protective instincts and his new responsibilities as a father to his baby daughter, Lara Dhawan. He explained how the arrival of his baby girl changed his outlook on life, with his protective nature becoming even more intense.

The actor said: “I think when an individual, a man becomes a parent, for the mother it’s a different experience, I feel like she becomes a tigress, at that moment, something happens But, as a man, I would say that when we become parents, for whatever reason, you feel protective towards your daughter I’m sure you also feel feelings for your sons, but towards the. girl… If someone would even do her (little) harm, I would kill him. I’m very serious when I say that, literally, I would kill them.”

As Varun Dhawan balances his professional commitments with his new role as a father, he highlights how his daughter has changed her priorities. While continuing to work on high-profile Bollywood projects, he admitted that the most important thing for him now is to be there for his family. “The work will always be there, but it’s my first priority,” he said.

Meanwhile, Varun will soon be seen in Baby John. Baby John is an official remake of the hit Tamil film ‘Theri’ starring Ilayathalapathy Vijay. The story revolves around a DCP who transforms his life to protect his family. Directed by Kalees, the action drama is set to release on December 25. Apart from Varun Dhawan, it stars Jackie Shroff, Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, Sanya Malhotra and Rajpal Yadav in key roles.
