A travel influencer has slammed Air India for its terrible business class experience, saying he paid $750 for a flight from London to Amritsar.

A travel influencer and YouTuber has hit out at Air India after experiencing what he called the “worst business class flight experience” of his life while flying with the airline. Drew Binsky said he was traveling from London to Amritsar on the flight and called his nine-hour journey “pathetic”.

“Worst business class experience of my life on @airindia from London to Amritsar the other day. Had to eat on a hair infested pillow!!! Can you believe I paid $750 for upgrade for that? I will never fly. Air India again!!,” he wrote in an Instagram post while recalling his flying experience.

Broken seat, eating on a pillow

He said that after sitting in his large business class seat, he was told it was broken and did not recline. The table provided for him did not unfold either and he was made to eat his food by placing it on his knees on a pillow.

“I had to eat my meal on a pillow covered in human hair. What kind of business class is this?” he wondered.

He also mentioned that the areas around his seat were dirty, while showing the corners of the seat covered in dust and grime. Speaking about the on-board entertainment available to him, he said the screen looked like it was from the 1980s and the remote control didn’t work. Even though he was connected to WiFi, he couldn’t access the Internet.

“Like a 1-star motel”

Amenity kits, which are often luxurious skincare products provided to passengers in first class, also disappointed the influencer. “The amenity kit only contains one lotion that looks like it came from a one-star motel,” he said.

Even the hot towel provided by airline staff had turned cold by the time he received it, he complained. “Thank you Air India for this miserable nine hour experience for which I spent $750 on an upgrade. I will be sure to never fly Air India again and I recommend you all to stay away unless you “I didn’t want to,” he said, signing the video.
