Family Invents Hilarious Way to Make Sure Grandparents Don’t Miss a Moment

While there’s nothing good on TV, one family has found a surprisingly healthy alternative.

Carly Silverman, from Boca Raton, Florida, posted a clip on TikTok with his family gathered around the television to watch his nephew on the show baby surveillance camera while he sings and calls everyone’s names.

The 30-year-old wrote over the superimposed text: “POV, you are the first grandchild and there is nothing good on TV.”

Carly Silverman and her family were captivated by the star of the show: her nephew.

“My whole family was home for the holidays, and we were all staying at my parents’ house, which is always a lot of fun to be together, especially with my nephew. He’s the first baby in the family so of course he gets our full attention 24/7,” she said News week.

That evening, as the family waited for the Philadelphia Eagles game, they found themselves with nothing to watch.

“Every night when he falls asleep, everyone in the family passes the baby monitor around to see what he’s doing. It was a late game at 8:20 p.m. so we had nothing better to do and my in-law sister had the smart idea to broadcast the monitor to the TV so we could all watch it, it was definitely more entertaining than any other channel,” Silverman said.

She asked the TikTok community in her caption: “Are other families doing this or is it just ours?” The clip has been viewed more than 756,000 times and received nearly 500 comments.

“I do this and my granddaughter is 200 miles away. My kids gave me a link to his camera,” one user commented. “Is this show available on Netflix?,” joked another.

A third user explained that their eldest son was the family’s first grand- and great-grandchild. “One day I walked into the living room and my grandmother, mother and sister were sitting quietly on the couch watching him sleep,” they wrote.

The video even caught the attention of diaper brand Pampers who commented: “There’s nothing like live entertainment. »

Silverman said News week that many other TikTokers said they could relate to this scenario: “Especially so many grandparents say they love doing this!! I didn’t realize how many other family members did this Also, of course, there were some negative Nancys who judged and criticized us for ‘invading privacy,’ but that doesn’t worry me.”
