Following the collapse of Waitonui Milltrust, a UK fund manager is challenging beneficiaries’ entitlement to draft payments.

The Waitonui Milltrust Group operated dairy farms around Taupō and Oamaru.

A High Court ruling has exposed a row over Fonterra milk payments as receivers and foreign investors seek to reclaim bankrupt Waitonui dairy group Milltrust.

A major investor in the Waitonui Group, which collapsed in April over debts of $35 million to BNZ and $31 million to livestock lender StockCo, was the United Kingdom.
