New Delhi: BJP functionaries, including MPs, staged protests against the Congress at different places in Delhi, including Karol Bagh, Parliament Street and Patel Nagar, on Thursday. They were protesting against the alleged insult given to BR Ambedkar by the Congress.
Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva said the nation demanded an apology from Congress leaders for the “disrespect” shown to the chief architect of the Constitution. He said the protests were organized by SC and ST Morcha workers of the BJP.
Yogendra Chandoliya, MP from North West Delhi, said: “Every child in India now knows that former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru conspired against leaders like Dr Ambedkar and Sardar Patel throughout his life. »
“The citizens of this country will no longer forgive the Congress. The nation now demands an apology from the Congress for plotting electoral defeats against Ambedkar twice and for awarding a Padma award to those who opposed him,” a- he declared.
Kamaljeet Sehrawat, MP from West Delhi, said that although the Congress now took oath in the name of the Constitution and BR Ambedkar, it was the BJP-backed coalition government in 1990 that awarded it the Bharat Ratna.

In another protest near the Press Club, the workers were led by SC morcha convener Karam Singh Karma and secretary Sona Kumari.
