The DGP said that these posters, banners and stickers should be put up at places easily visible to passengers at stations, platforms, trains and traffic areas.

“For the first time in the country, a massive public awareness campaign has been launched for the safety of railway tracks and railway passengers. Indian Railways is the lifeline of the nation. Uttar Pradesh has the busiest railway network. The length of railway track in Uttar Pradesh is around 16,000 km and around 3,031 trains run every day,” the DGP said in a press release.

He further added that Mahakumbh-2025 will be organized in a grand manner, in which millions of devotees will travel by train. “The railways will operate more than 1,000 special trains from different states of the country for the movement of devotees on Mahakumbh-2025. In such a situation, the safety of the railway track and safe and pleasant journey of the railway passengers is a very difficult task for the GRP,” the DGP said.

Posters will feature slogans, while photographs will display banners and stickers with messages.

Through this campaign, criminal and sabotage incidents on trains will be effectively controlled and comfortable and safe rail travel will be possible.

An Additional Director General of Railway Police was present on the occasion.
