Mohamed Salah reached deal with PSG on free transfer before changing his mind

The January transfer window is less than two weeks away and the futures of Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold are still up in the air.

Any of the three can sign pre-contract deals with foreign clubs on January 1, and Salah is understood to have agreed a deal to join French giants Paris Saint-Germain.

According to an Egyptian source Yallakora via 90minThe 32-year-old Liverpool winger reached an agreement with PSG for a free transfer in the summer of 2025. Salah then changed his mind and reduced his demands on Liverpool to extend his stay at Anfield.

Salah continues to be vital to Liverpool’s impressive surge in all competitions, with 16 goals and 13 assists in 23 matches.

Even though Liverpool’s official announcement has not been made on Salah’s contract extension, the Egyptian winger is would have set to extend his stay at the Merseyside club.
