Drivers are urged to use caution as freezing rain makes roads icy in the Jackson and Ann Arbor areas.

JACKSON COUNTY, MI – Freezing rain in the southern half of Michigan is making roads dangerous, despite the amount of precipitation being fairly light.

Road conditions are “rapidly deteriorating” Monday afternoon, Dec. 23, due to light rain and drizzle, according to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office.

Roads are extremely icy and numerous accidents have been reported in the area, police said.
