FC 25 Winter Wildcards explained: full schedule and what to expect

If you can tear yourself away from everything football live on TV During the Christmas holidays, you could bag some pretty awesome cards at Winter Wildcards.

Read on for the full schedule and what to expect from Winter Wildcards in FC 25.

FC 25 Winter Wildcard Schedule

There will be three weeks of Winter Wildcards in FC 25, meaning there will be a trilogy of teams you can try to collect.

The FC 25 Winter Wildcard schedule should look like this:

  • Friday December 20 — Team 1 arrives at 6 p.m.
  • Friday December 27 — Team 2 arrives at 6 p.m.
  • Friday January 3 — Team 3 arrives at 6 p.m.

Long-time players will be used to this cadence by now, with Friday tea time being the usual slot when big updates are released.

If Team 1 meets this time frame, we expect subsequent weeks to do the same.

What to expect from FC 25 Winter Wildcards

As for what lies ahead, the most obvious thing is that new cards will be available in the packs of each of these teams.

Team 1 includes 26 current players, as well as 14 classics from the past (in the form of icons and heroes).

But that’s not all that’s happening! There is also SBC every day – think of it like an Advent calendar – allowing you to gather brilliant players if your team-building skills are up to par.

So far we’ve seen Leroy Sané, Nuno Mendes and Diego Forlán among the SBCs on offer.

EA also promised “all kinds of improvements”, including position changes, weekly skill/foot upgrades, statistical upgrades to 99 stats, playstyles, roles+, and roles++.

During the Winter Wildcards promotion, FC 25 Season 4 will begin on Thursday, December 26 at 8:00 GMT. The new season is called “Strength in Numbers” and will bring even more content to the game.

Overall, this should be a really fun way to spend the Christmas holidays! More information about the festivities can be found at the official website of the game.
