Caring binmen made a toddler a superfan Christmas after giving him his own model of their truck.

Two-year-old Bellamy Lane loves sitting at the window with his older sister Evelyn, six, to greet the men as they make their rounds in Alderholt, Dorset.

When his mother takes him for a morning walk, he often passes them and watches them empty the trash.

Bellamy received a garbage truck from his family for his birthday in September that he proudly showed off to the workers, but when the garbage collectors broke down and couldn’t make their normal rounds earlier this month, Bellamy was so distraught that he broke. he.

The garbage collectors saw the damaged toy thrown away as they finished their next ride and decided to buy the little truck lover a new one.

When they knocked on the Lane family’s door to introduce the new toy truck to a beaming Bellamy, mother Kelly Lane burst into tears.

Kelly, 34, a customer service assistant from Alderholt, Dorset, said: ‘Bellamy loves bin lorries and every Thursday when he hears them he and Evelyn rush to climb my bedroom window to wave and shout hello to them.

“They always say hello and wave to them both. For Bellamy’s birthday in September, he received a garbage truck from a family member and took it with us to show the trash collectors. They loved it and loved his enthusiasm for them.

Recently, Kelly’s children ran to the window to say hello when one of the garbage collectors, Andrew, asked the family to come outside.

Kelly accompanied Bellamy downstairs to meet the group and saw them holding a brand new orange garbage truck toy.

Kelly said: “They said they wanted to surprise the kids for Christmas because they can see how much he loves them and the truck. It makes their morning to see them greeting each week. It made me brought tears to my eyes.

“Bellamy was so excited and kept shouting ‘garbage truck’ at the top of his voice. Honestly, they are such lovely, happy men and it’s so nice that they take the time to greet and say hello to everyone children, not just mine.
