Next year’s National People’s Congress (NPC) meeting will open in Beijing on March 5, according to a decision made by the NPC Standing Committee on Wednesday.

The third annual session of the 14th NPC will review the government work report, review the report on the implementation of the annual national economic and social development plan for 2024 and the draft plan for 2025.

Meanwhile, the annual meeting of the top consultative body, the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), will open on March 4 in the capital.

The decision was made at a recent meeting of the council of presidents of the 14th National Committee of the CPPCC. (Xinhua)
