Stay Calm, Squid Game Season 3 is Literally a Few Months Away

It happens much sooner than you think

I’m still in shock after the Wild cliffhanger ending to Squid Game’s second season. Here are all the juicy details we know so far about Squid Game’s third season, so you can start mentally preparing yourself for what happens to Gi-hun next.

When is the third season of Squid Game released?

The next season of Squid game arrives much earlier than expected, thank the gods. Series creator Hwang Dong-hyuk actually wrote the script for seasons two and three at the same time. They were filmed one after the other. Filming for the third season has therefore already been completed. Netflix has announced that it will bless our screens with the third season of Squid Game in 2025.

Hwang Dong-hyuk said Variety“I think we’ll announce the launch date for Season 3 soon. I’m probably expecting that to launch around summer or fall of next year.

It’s only six to ten months away! After a three-year wait between season one and season two, a 2025 release for season three seems miraculously close.

Hwang Dong-hyuk promised that the conflict between Gi-hun and Front Man will be the focus of the upcoming season. He said: “The fierce class between their worlds will continue in the series finale with season 3, coming to you next year.”

A tantalizing mid-credit scene at the end of season three hinted that there would be a return of the iconic game Red Light, Green Light, but with a bonus robot.

The third season will be the final season of Squid Game. Gi-hun and Front Man will have their last fight.

The death at the end of season two is really going to impact Gi-hun in season three.

Spoiler alert: Front Man shoots Jung-bae. It looks like Gi-hun will really struggle with guilt and grief during the third season. This will impact his decisions and his entire approach to taking down the Squid Games.

Hwang said Tudum that Gi-hun will be in a “state of deep despair.” His entire view of the world will be turned upside down. Hwang said: “Will he still believe that he will be able to persuade the others and leave together or end the game? Or will he give in and become a completely different person? Someone like Front Man, who asks himself, “What can I change?” »

He promised Variety: “You’re going to meet our character Gi-hun at a very critical crossroads as we begin season three. Gi-hun will no longer be the man he was in season 2.” I get chills.
