The General Directorate of Civil Aviation suspends 2 Akasa Air officials for failing to complete pilot training

The DGAC, aviation safety regulator, on Friday ordered the suspension for six months of the operations director and the training director of Akasa Air, for alleged failings in pilot training.

The two senior executives of the airline, in which the Rakesh Jhunjhunwala family holds stakes, have “failed” to ensure “compliance” with civil aviation requirements, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation said (DGAC) in its order of December 27.

The response to the question sent to Akasa on this issue was awaited.
