WWE recently announced that starting next week, January 3, SmackDown will officially expand to a three-hour show.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that WWE Monday Night RAW is also expected to return to three hours when it transitions to Netflix on January 6.

From 2014 until this year, RAW ran in the three-hour format before returning to the two-hour format on USA Network.

WWE has previously indicated that with Netflix, they are not bound by strict end times as is the case with network or cable television.

However, several international TV partners still broadcast RAW, including sports channels accustomed to quickly adjusting time slots.

Other broadcast partners have already been informed that RAW will return to three hours next month.

A source described as “major player” at WWE noted, “We’re going to spend three hours on both.»

This change means that WWE will offer eight hours of television content each week.
