Ohio State and Michigan players begin massive fight after UM upsets Buckeyes

A major brawl broke out at the end of the Michigan vs. Ohio State game when Wolverines players attempted to plant their M flag at midfield after upsetting the No. 2 ranked Buckeyes.

Both teams gathered around the 50-yard line pushing and shoving on both sides, after which Ohio State defensive end Jack Sawyer stole the Michigan flag and attempted to tear it up.

Ohio State head coach Ryan Day watched the matchup as he left the field and didn’t seem happy with the way his players were performing.

Several reporters at the game and walking the field later noted that police appeared to be using pepper spray to disperse the angry players.

And it appeared that some Michigan players were affected by this tactic.

After the field cleared somewhat, Michigan running back Kalel Mullings expressed disappointment in how the game ended.

Ohio State entered Saturday’s game as a 19.5-point favorite against Michigan, but the Wolverines’ shocking victory not only keeps the Buckeyes out of the Big Ten championship game, but could also jeopardize their hopes in the College Football Playoff.
