Accidental fall at Bellevue high school leaves one dead

BELLEVUE, Neb. (WOWT) – A man working on the roof of Gross Catholic High School fell through a skylight and died from his injuries Monday.

According to a release, Bellevue police and firefighters were dispatched to Gross Catholic High School for a rescue call around 11 a.m. Monday.

Once there, officers found Sander Gonzalez-Munoz, 24, in critical condition on the floor of the school gymnasium.

Life-saving measures were attempted and he was transported to the hospital, but Gonzalez-Munoz was pronounced dead at the hospital, according to the release.

An investigation revealed that Gonzalez-Munoz was working for Titan Pro Roofing on the roof when he stepped on a skylight, which shattered, causing Gonzalez-Munoz to fall more than 20 feet to the ground inside the gymnasium.

The preliminary investigation indicates that it was probably an accidental death.
