Black Ops 6 The first season is just around the corner, as the game is now available for all players. In the coming weeks, players will be treated to a new Battle Pass, changes to Warzone, as well as new content for multiplayer. Unfortunately, Activision has yet to announce the details of the first season, but has confirmed the launch date.

If you didn’t know, new Call of Duty games tend to be launched in a sort of pre-season state these days. This gives players the opportunity to jump into the game, upgrade their weapons, and familiarize themselves with the map selection before adding new content. As such, there is currently no Battle Pass, but that is about to change. Even without the content from the first season, we’re having fun with it Black Ops 6and it certainly looks to be a contender for our list of best FPS games play in 2024.

As we approach the Black Ops 6 Season 1 release date, we’ll likely begin to learn more about what will be added and specific timings. For now, here’s everything we know so far, including a preview of when the first season will release.

Although Activision has yet to detail Season 1, we do have some information on what will be added. According to this COD Blog Postthere will be “all-new multiplayer maps and modes, a terrifying new in-season Zombies map, as well as the introduction of Omnimovement and Black Ops 6 weapons and loadout features to Call of Duty: Warzone.” We’ll have to wait and see exactly what that entails, so stay tuned for updates.

Waiting to hear exactly what Black Ops 6 Season 1 has in store for us, we’ll think about what we’d like to see added to the game. Sure, a Battle Pass is coming but beyond that, new content is harder to predict. Given that Black Ops 6 has just launched, and given that it contains all new cards, some familiar cards could be a welcome addition alongside the first season. We’d like to see the team draw inspiration specifically from older Black Ops games, such as Summit, as well as some of the best offerings from last year’s remastered game. Modern Warfare 2 maps like Rust.

There are still plenty of weapons left to use Black Ops 6so the new weapons from season one aren’t exactly at the top of our wish list. Instead, it would be good to see other balance fixes, especially regarding the currently essential Gunfighter Wildcard. Over the next few weeks it should become clear which weapons are being used Black Ops 6 need nerfs, and who need buff. For now, though, the current lineup of weapons seems surprisingly balanced, with everything from SMGs to Marksman rifles looking genuinely viable.
