Business Feeds Lagos Community Residents, Cleans Areas

Urban Living Development Limited, a leading real estate development company, has embarked on a double-impact community outreach program in Badore Ajah area of Lagos State.

In a statement sent to PUNCH Online on Sunday, the Managing Director of Urban Living Development, John Oyedepo, said the initiative included an environmental clean-up exercise and a social welfare project, Operation Feed 500.

Oyedepo said the program aims to foster a cleaner environment and address food insecurity within the community.

Highlighting the importance of the initiative, Oyedepo said: “Our role as a corporate citizen goes beyond business. It’s about contributing to the well-being of the environment and the communities we serve.

“CSR is a fundamental part of our identity as a company. We believe in using our resources to make a difference, not only in business, but in the lives of the people and places we touch.

Also speaking, the Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder of the company, Olawale Aremu, said the clean-up efforts were followed by a meal distribution project that provided nutritious meals to over 500 vulnerable people in the community.

He added that the initiative targeted children, the elderly and those facing financial difficulties, providing not only sustenance but also a sense of care and community connection.

Aremu remarked: “Our commitment to CSR is not limited to initiatives; it’s about improving lives and building a better society.

“The awareness program aligns with the company’s broader mission to integrate CSR into its operations, demonstrating how businesses can lead efforts in environmental preservation and social well-being.
