A NEW TRANSPORT TERMINAL COMING SOON IN CANDONI

Governor Bong Lacson led the groundbreaking ceremony of the proposed Candoni Transportation Terminal, which will improve public transportation facilities and services in the Sixth District, on November 4, 2024.

Board member Jeffrey Tubola, Candoni Mayor Ray Ruiz, Vice Mayor Cicero Borromeo and other local officials joined the governor at the activity.

“The soon-to-be-built bus terminal here will provide convenience, safety and efficiency to travelers and transport operators. By facilitating the movement of people and goods, we are building the foundation for a more dynamic and interconnected Candoni,” said Governor Lacson.

With an area of 631.44 square meters, the substantial budgetary allocation for the project is approximately P20 million from the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental.

The project is located in Barangay East, near the New Candoni Public Market.

It has public toilets and rental spaces.

Governor Lacson also said the project would not only improve the mobility of citizens but also encourage economic activities and support the growth of local businesses.
