Are you ready for fall to arrive?

Yes, the fall season started on September 22, but if you’ve been out, it sure doesn’t feel like fall.

Wilmington set a record Wednesday, reaching 81 degrees.

Temperatures this month are in the 70s and 80s, making it feel like late spring or early summer. Which begs the question: When will fall arrive?

When will Delaware feel fall weather?

It’s happening and maybe it will happen this weekend.

After a high of 70° Friday in Wilmington, winds will shift from west to northwest, bringing cooler temperatures, according to the National Weather Service.

Friday night’s minimum temperatures will drop to a seasonal 43 degrees and Saturday’s will only reach 60 degrees.

You can prepare the fire pit for Saturday evening when temperatures drop into the upper 30s. Sunday’s high will not exceed 62 as needed rain could arrive in the area.

Early next week, high temperatures are expected to be in the 60s and overnight lows in the 40s.

The southern part of the First State highs will be in the mid 60s to low 70s, but lows will be in the 40s over the next seven days.

What are the temperatures in Delaware in November?

Last year, the average temperature in November was 46.1 degrees, according to the Delaware Climate Office. The 30-year average temperature for Delaware is 47.5 degrees.

When will Delaware get cold?

According to AccuWeather Long Range Forecastthe Wilmington area won’t see consistent temperatures in the 40s until December.

Kent County temperatures won’t be consistent in the 40s until late December. Sussex County is planned staying consistently in the 50s through the end of December.
