Repeat MPW winners: How Masaba Gupta is reshaping India’s fashion and beauty markets – BusinessToday

Masaba Gupta has made BT’s MPW list for the third year in a row. She worked on revamping the brand image of her fashion brand House of Masaba (of which Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail holds 51% stake) and her cosmetics brand LoveChild. She plans to pivot her clothing business into a luxury and beauty brand into a mix of luxury and affordable luxury. “We are venturing into a very interesting category for India… luxury,” she says. Gupta says Indian consumers want to try local brands. It plans to expand its offline retail presence for its clothing line and revamp its ready-to-wear line.
