Tayce is the second celebrity contestant confirmed for Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special 2024

The Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special is back! As the ballroom once again transforms into a magical winter wonderland, the second celebrity behind the doors of this year’s all-star Advent calendar has been revealed.

On Strictly: It Takes Two on BBC Two and iPlayer tonight, Tayce was announced as the second celebrity included in the Christmas 2024 line-up. She will be paired with professional Strictly Come Dancing dancer Kai Widdrington.

Expect festive cheer, bells ringing, mistletoe madness, dazzling baubles and six celebrities all heading by sleigh to Elstree in a bid to be crowned Strictly Christmas 2024 champion.

Tayce is a Drag Artist, Model and Presenter.

Welsh-born Tayce was a finalist on season 2 of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK. She is often referred to as the “Naomi Campbell of Drag” and models around the world in fashion shows. She has presented on BBC Radio 1, MTV and Sky. Tayce performs her drag act around the world and has also released her own rap single.

Tayce said: “I can’t wait to go sledding on the Strictly Ballroom floor. My partner and I are going to dance for our lives! Seriously, it’s an incredible honor to be the first Drag performer to take part in Strictly Come Dancing. I hope I make all my Drag Race and Wales fans proud! Sign me up for all the glitz, glamor and disco balls.

In the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special, produced by BBC Studios, each of the six couples will perform a festive routine in the hope of impressing the judges, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and head judge Shirley Ballas, as well as as the studio audience voted. But who will emerge as the Christmas star of the evening and win the coveted Christmas trophy?

The remaining Christmas line-up will be announced on Strictly: It Takes Two in due course.
