Cheryl shared his thoughts on the future of Girls Aloud as she joined her bandmates for a special interview recorded a week before Liam Payneit is death.

The Girls Aloud Show: the interview, conducted by the presenter Ben Shepardwas released on ITVX ahead of the highly anticipated concert film and was recorded on October 8.

The 20-minute interview gives a glimpse into the reunion between the 2000s pop group – made up of Cheryl, Nadine Coyle, Nicholas Roberts And Kimberley Walsh – in honor of their late bandmate Sarah Harding.

Now that the group is reunited, Cheryl. 41 years old, thought about what comes next.

She revealed: “We’re catching our breath, one thing I’ve learned in my infinite wisdom, in my middle age, is that you really can never say never.”

Nicola added: “I don’t think we could see ourselves doing this tour. There was a time when we didn’t think we could see ourselves doing this.

Elsewhere in the chat, Nicola added that she was grateful the group were able to make such a comeback “at their age”.

The singer said: “The music industry is such a young place that when you’re so young and wrapped up in this ageism, you think we could never do this at this age.

“A lot of my friends have been inspired by us,” Kimberley admitted.

And Cheryl admitted “how lucky that we can still do it, 22 years later.”

The tour was a poignant tribute to Harding, who sadly passed away aged 39 in 2021 after being diagnosed with breast cancer.

“We were really conscious the whole time of making sure it wasn’t too sad because she wasn’t a sad character, she was the most bubbly of all of us,” Cheryl explained.

“We wanted to keep her spirit with us, represent her and have her there throughout the show, but not in a sad way. The situation is sad enough.

Last week, the girl group marked the twentieth anniversary of Children in Need’s single I’ll Stand By You. by publishing a new version which featured old recordings of Harding’s vocals to give his voice the lead vocals on the track.

Fans were deeply moved by the re-released song and cried while listening to it. It was also performed by the band on their reunion tour across the UK and Ireland over the summer.

In recent weeks, Cheryl has remained out of the public eye following the death of her ex-partner and One Direction star Payne. The couple shared a seven-year-old son, Bear.

After his untimely death in October, Cheryl released a statement on social media supported by her Girls Aloud co-stars.

“As I try to come to terms with this overwhelming event and deal with my own grief during this indescribably painful time, I would like to kindly remind everyone that we have lost a human being,” she wrote.

“Liam was not just a pop star and celebrity, he was the son, brother, uncle, dear friend and father of our 7-year-old son. A son who now has to face reality never to see his father again.

She added that her mind was troubled by the thought of not being able to protect Bear in the future after seeing some reports.

“Before leaving comments or making videos, ask yourself if you would like your own family or child to read them.

“Please give Liam what little dignity he has left after his death so he can finally rest in peace. Thank you, Cheryl.
