After a light drizzle at midday in Winnipeg, some sunshine will return to the city Wednesday afternoon.

The sunshine in the southwest this morning will continue this afternoon.

A depression moving much further north is largely due to this. This also sets the stage for a sunny afternoon across most of northern Manitoba today.

However, the weather situation is very different this afternoon in northwestern Ontario.

No sun there. Instead, showers and snow. Drizzling is also possible. These various forms of precipitation will gradually cease across the entire region during this evening.

This evening, fog is expected to develop overnight over southern Manitoba and northwestern Ontario.

Fog may persist during Thursday morning’s commute, so be prepared for the possibility of low visibility.

A new low will enter central Manitoba on Thursday and continue into Friday.
