Accessing services and doing business with the City of Mississauga during the Canada Post strike – City of Mississauga

The Canada Post strike will disrupt postal services to and from Mississauga. The City is prepared and advising residents on other options for accessing municipal services during this disruption.

Since today, Canada Post workers, members of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers, have been on strike. Some City services are affected by the work stoppage. For more information, residents are asked to contact 311. The City is working to minimize, to the extent possible, the impact on residents and businesses during this work stoppage.

Service interruptions

Animal Services

Beginning today and for the duration of the strike, Animal Services will not send pet renewal notices.

Board and Board Committees

Legal public notices will be provided by personal service and facsimile (to be determined based on size of distribution.)

Public notices are provided online.

Public notices of the Committee of Adjustment can be consulted online.

Library

Mississauga Library Interlibrary Loan Program will be paused during the strike.

Mobile licenses

Beginning on the first day of interruption, Mobile Licensing will not mail renewal notices.

Provincial Offenses Court

The public is still responsible for paying fines by the due dates set.

The following payment methods are available:
