WARSAW — The K21 Health Foundation is announcing a $20,000 grant to Kosciusko County Senior Services to support the organization’s Senior Activity Center. The grant will allow the center to expand its full range of health-focused programs and activities for individuals ages 60 and older.

The Kosciusko County Senior Activity Center offers more than 50 health and wellness activities, including cardio drumming, chair volleyball, and a wide variety of nutrition and exercise classes. The center recently hired a full-time staff member dedicated to developing and delivering these active and educational opportunities.

“The Senior Activity Center plays a vital role in helping seniors in our community thrive,” said Rich Haddad, CEO of the K21 Health Foundation. “By offering such a range of engaging and health-focused activities, the center helps older adults stay active, informed and socially connected. We are pleased to support this important work through our grant.

The activity center relies on partner organizations and volunteers to assist with many of its activities, fostering a strong sense of community among participants. In addition to physical wellness programs, the center also offers resources and support to meet the different needs of seniors in the community.

“This grant from the K21 Health Foundation will allow us to continue to build on the strong programming already in place at our Senior Activity Center,” said David Neff, executive director of Kosciusko County Senior Services. “We are grateful for K21’s partnership in our mission to improve the health, independence and overall quality of life of older adults in our community.
