The oldest member of BTS, Kim Seok Jinalso known as Jin, may have completed his mandatory military service, but he still has a lot to share about his experiences outside of work and with his fans. In a recent interview, the singer opened up about his time in the military, his debut solo album, his bond with his bandmates, and more. Jin expressed how anxious and guilty he felt about being away from his fans, revealing, “I was so sad. Some people say they go to the military to take a break from work, but I disagree.”

Explaining that it was no place to rest, he added: “To make matters more difficult, I wasn’t able to do my job, and that started to make me really anxious. I was like, “I have so much to do, but when?” When will I be able to play again? I felt constantly anxious and deeply sorry for my fans. That’s what I felt. I felt a strong need to do something and a strong desire to do something.”

Elsewhere in the conversation, Jin also spoke about missing his bandmates during his solo career plans. “I miss my limbs today. Going solo sometimes gets boring. If there is Jungkook, I can fight with him. But now I don’t have my members anymore and it’s just the staff. I can’t play or fight with them,” he said.

SEOKJIN MISSES BTS AND MEMBERS

In a recent episode of the talk show Lee Mujin Service, the BTS The member echoed similar emotions about his military years and his latest album. Meanwhile, Jin revealed his forgotten dream of becoming an actor, leaving his fans upset and hopeful to see him act one day.

On the work front, Jin recently released his first solo album titled Happy through BigHit Music. The six-track album was released on November 15, 2024. After his military discharge, J-Hope also completed his duties in October this year. The remaining five members are expected to return in 2025.
