A woman was taken to hospital in a critical condition after a serious crash on a road near Bamber Bridge.




Police were called at around 6.35pm yesterday (24 October) to reports of a collision between an Audi S3 and a pedestrian. It was learned that the condition of the female pedestrian in her 30s, who was taken to the hospital, was critical.

A 34-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving over the prescribed limit for cannabis and cocaine and driving while impaired by drugs.

Police requested information and footage regarding the serious injury of a woman in an accident on Bamber Bridge.

Sergeant. Pete Fyans, of Lancashire Police, said: “This collision resulted in a woman being taken to hospital with very serious injuries. Our thoughts are with her as she receives treatment.

“Although one man has been arrested, our investigation is very much ongoing and we are asking for your help.

“If you have dashcam or CCTV footage of Tramway Lane between 6.30pm and 6.45pm please contact us. Alternatively, if you have any information that could assist our inquiries please let us know.”
