The Ottawa Convention Center becomes Rogers Center Ottawa

Rogers has put its name to another venue, this time purchasing the naming rights to the Ottawa Convention Centre. As part of this 10-year agreement, the venue will see its name changed to Rogers Center Ottawa.

“We are excited about the opportunities this partnership will bring, not only to our customers and guests, but to the entire Ottawa community,” said Nina Kressler, President and CEO of the Ottawa Convention Centre.

Not to be confused with the Rogers Center where the Blue Jays play in Toronto, Rogers Center Ottawa is just the latest in a series of naming rights deals struck by Rogers. The Vancouver Canucks play at Rogers Arena, Salmon Arm Arena has been renamed Rogers Rink and Live Nation has partnered with the company to create a 50,000-seat concert hall in Toronto called Rogers Stadium.

Previously, the Ottawa Convention Center was renamed the Shaw Center in 2014 as part of a 10-year agreement. Rogers in particular acquired Shaw in massive $26 billion deal in 2023. Since then, Rogers has patted himself on the back and claimed it.”increased competition and choice” thanks to the merger while increasing prices for customers multiple times This year.

They haven’t purchased the human naming rights yet, but if you want to be first, this might be your chance.
