3 people charged after drugs found during investigation into fatal rollover

On January 29 at 3:43 a.m., police responded to a vehicle rollover on the westbound QEW off-ramp at Brant Street in Burlington.

Three men and a woman occupying a Dodge Ram pickup truck were found at the scene after being ejected from the vehicle. They were taken to hospital, where one man was pronounced dead.

Fentanyl, cocaine and a firearm were also allegedly found at the scene.

Preet Dhami, 25, of Brampton, was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking (fentanyl), possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine), possession of identification documents and failure to to comply with a probation order.

Mustafa Ta’amneh, 46, of Mississauga, was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking (fentanyl), possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine), unauthorized possession of a weapon firearm in a motor vehicle, unauthorized possession of a firearm, knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm, reckless use of a firearm, arms trafficking, possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order and failure to comply with a release order.

Nitish Oberoi, 34, of Brampton, was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking (fentanyl), possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine) and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle with caused death.
